About Living Story Tattoo

Living Story Tattoo offers restorative tattooing for breast reconstruction patients and breast conditions requiring areola pigment or asymmetry correction. Other restorative and decorative tattooing is offered as well.

“The tattooing of the nipple areola is the finishing touch to the breast reconstruction. It is a medical tattoo with an aesthetic touch.” “It is another chapter in her story and I am thankful to be a part of that.” She is the living story.-Christina Siegel, 2015

The name “Living Story” is from every person that I have tattooed having a story. It is about their personal journey, their own, unique story and I am lucky enough to have them told to me during the tattoo process.

Creating the most realistic, natural areolas and 3 dimensional nipples as possible, I'm honored and humbled to be a part of each woman's journey to restore her femininity and regain confidence after enduring so much.  This is my motivation to seek out learning and to refine my skill and technique so I can be the best at what I do.

Choosing an Artist

Many times, the tattooing responsibility falls on the doctor or the nurse in the office to perform. They may have attended a weekend workshop or have even less training. Often times, they use whatever machine, needles, and ink that were sold to them by the trainers. This can lead to less than desired results on patients, especially if your nurse cannot draw even a stick figure or a simple straight line.

In my own personal case, I watched 6 hours of DVD videos from the Beau Institute and watched another RN do ONE tattoo and I was turned loose to tattoo breast reconstruction patients.

When interviewing and deciding on your artist, with any procedure which you may undergo, ask as many questions as you need to. Actually interview prospective artists. This is important!

Expect clear answers in wording that you understand. Ask about the training your artist has received. Ask to see photos of their work!!!! HEALED PHOTOS, not fresh!!! If you are uncomfortable with any of the answers that you receive from anyone, seek out another opinion. Having proper ink, equipment, and technique used, combined with diligent tattoo aftercare, your tattoo should remain beautiful for years to come.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, do not let anyone tattoo your body if it is not truly their passion. If their heart is in their work, it will show.  Choosing me as your artist is truly an honor. Thank you for having that trust in me.

Meet Christina,

The Nipple Fairy®️

I am a registered nurse and experienced medical tattoo artist. After graduating from Wright State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree, I worked for 10 years in a variety of critical care hospital areas including: Burn unit, Trauma, NICU, and Oncology.

I worked at The Ohio State University Medical Center’s Department of Plastic Surgery from 2006-2014  where I completed hands-on training and The Beau Institute, Advanced Areola Complex training series. For over eight years, I was responsible for tattooing a large volume of patients in need of nipple areola complex tattooing and loved every minute of it but, I did not love the results I was providing…

In 2014, I continued my training to use proper equipment, ink and refine my technique, in order to give my clients a result that not only reflects my passion for what I do, but a result that they truly deserve. I’d like to thank Rob (RJ) Woods, owner of Tattoo Cartel in Columbus Ohio for all your help and guidance.
